In 2020, Optomise raised over R100 million for The Voco Hotel, located within The Bank development in the heart of Rosebank and developed by Blend Property Group.
This mixed-use destination includes a 4-star hotel, a large co-working space, premium offices, and one of South Africa’s most popular restaurants, Proud Mary. With spacious rooms, open atriums, integrated workspaces, and a full bar, Voco reshaped Rosebank’s hospitality offering.
In 2021, Optomise raised over R70 million for The Apollo, the largest office-to-residential conversion in South Africa.
Redeveloped and operated by Africrest Property Group in Sandton, The Apollo features 600+ residential units and an extended-stay hotel designed for business travellers. Positioned as a lifestyle residence for young professionals, it offers 24-hour gyms, swimming pools, and a range of sports facilities for both short- and long-term guests.
In 2020, Optomise partnered with WeRentCars (WRC), a retail vehicle rental business based in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
Working with car dealerships, WRC enables customers who don’t typically qualify for traditional vehicle finance to rent a vehicle over a 54-month term. Optomise raised over R50 million to fund vehicle purchases and support WRC’s expansion into Gauteng, giving more South Africans access to reliable transport for work, school runs, and everyday life.
In 2021, Optomise raised over R30 million to develop The Rockefeller - an iconic mixed-use apart-hotel in Cape Town’s Foreshore, designed as a complete live-stay-work destination.
The development comprises 395 luxury apartments, supported by an on-site ecosystem of restaurants, a sky bar, and co-working spaces. Recognised for the quality of its execution, The Rockefeller was named Best High-Rise Residential Development in Africa (2021/2022).
In 2021, Optomise partnered with Green Matters Engineering to deploy capital across multiple solar installations across Gauteng. By providing affordable funding to property developers, Optomise Solar helps bring solar to market sooner, enabling cost savings that can be passed on to tenants through reduced electricity costs, easing the day-to-day burden of running a business.
